AEP Span offers three paint systems: DuraTech®5000 and DuraTech®mx (metallics) for our extensive line of architectural products, and DuraTech®nt for our through-fastened commercial and industrial steel products. AEP Span also offers weathertight warranties on selected products.
Architectural Products
Our DuraTech®5000 and DuraTech®mx paint systems are available on AEP Span architectural products offered in 24 gauge and heavier steel. All products are available in a variety of 24 Cool Colors (Color Palette) to help support the ongoing efforts of sustainable design. The Zincalume® or Galvalume® anti-corrosion substrate beneath the high-end DuraTech®5000 paint system supports a 30-year paint performance warranty.
Commercial System Building Products
AEP Span's commercial and industrial through-fastened steel products (26 gauge and lighter) come with the DuraTech®nt paint system. This paint system is a two coat, 1 millimeter thick paint system combining long-life technology with Zincalume® or Galvalume®, a zinc and aluminum combination, extending the life of the roof. All colors are offered in energy-saving Cool Colors (Color Palette) and include a 25-year paint performance warranty.
Weathertight Warranties
Ensure your roof is weathertight with an AEP Span approved weathertight warranty. AEP Span offers a standard side seam warranty, as well as a full system warranty for those jobs that require weathertight roofs.
All Side Seam and Full System warranties mentioned above are available with varying term lengths of 2, 5, 10, 15, and 20 years. Contact an AEP Span representative for technical information on these warranties.
Standard - Side Seam (Prorated):
Side seam warranties cover the weathertight integrity of the panel side seam joint only. This coverage is for water infiltration due to panel seam failure. Review the actual Side Seam Weathertightness Warranty for additional inclusion and exclusions.
Limited to repair, restore, or replace the leaking panel side seam joint with cost being limited to the original cost of materials and installation, reduced annually per a pro-rated schedule. The installer has warranty responsibility for the first 2 years plus any applicable extensions thereof. AEP Span has sole liability for the remainder of the warranty period.
Standard - Full System (Prorated):
Full system warranties cover the weathertight integrity of the roof panels and all flashings. Basically the entire roof system provided by AEP Span is included in this warranty. Review the actual Full System Weathertightness Warranty for additional inclusions and exclusions.
Limited to repair, restore, or replace the leaking roof system with cost being limited to the original cost of materials and installation, reduced annually per a pro-rated schedule. The installer has warranty responsibility for the first 2 years plus any applicable extensions thereof. AEP Span has sole liability for the remainder of the warranty period.
